AptarGroup has announced that Virginie Maes, who is currently VP of Healthcare Flexibles at Amcor, will join the company as President of Aptar Pharma as of January 1, 2027. Maes joined Amcor in 2016; her prior experience includes roles at Morgan Stanley, Terra Firma Capital, and McKinsey.
Since the beginning of September, Aptar has announced a deal with Aceso Therapeutics for development of an inhaled formulation by Aptar Pharma subsidiary Nanopharm; use of its nasal delivery technology for a nose-to-brain delivery project at Massachusetts General Hospital; a research project with Macquarie University centered on the Orbital DPI; the addition of OINDP device manufacturing capacity at its facility in Mumbai; and CE marking of its LuerVax intranasal vaccine delivery device.
