Aptar Pharma’s LuerVax intranasal vaccine delivery device gets CE mark

Aptar Pharma’s LuerVax single-use nasal vaccine delivery device is now CE marked, the company announced. An optional accessory that allows for division of the vaccine so that half of the dose can be sprayed into one nostril and the other half of the dose in the other nostril has also been CE marked. The LuerVax device, which is designed for use with Aptar’s LuerLock syringe, is available through to commercialization.

Aptar Pharma Prescription President Alex Theodorakis commented, “Achieving CE marking for both LuerVax and the Spray Divider is an important step in strengthening our support of vaccine developers worldwide. Customers are increasingly seeking established device platforms that can support regulatory pathways and enable efficient clinical and commercial development. This CE marking reinforces Aptar’s commitment to being a trusted partner throughout the vaccine development journey.”

Global Business Development Director, Vaccines and Antivirals, Nektaria Karavas said, “This achievement reflects Aptar’s ongoing investment in innovative delivery solutions that address the evolving needs of vaccine developers. Our goal is to provide customers with the delivery technologies, expertise, and regulatory support to bring the next generation of vaccines to market.”
