Zeteo Biomedical announces the launch of its new AriesMR active DPI

Drug delivery specialist Zeteo Biomedical has announced the availability of its first device for delivery to the lung, the AriesMR DPI, which the company describes as “a reloadable active dry powder inhaler designed for controlled pulmonary administration of pharmaceutical powders without reliance on patient-generated inspiratory energy for powder aerosolization or the use of CFC/HFA propellants.”

Like the company’s CygnusMR nasal delivery device, which was introduced in 2025, the AriesMR is based on Zeteo’s ZTECH-P powder delivery technology, which uses replaceable unit-dose cartridges, and has a replaceable mouthpiece. Zeteo notes that the DPI operates independently of device orientation and is completely mechanical, with no electronics. In addition, the Aries MR can be used for delivery of up to two APIs for combination products, with the ability to keep the components separate until delivery if necessary.

Zeteo Biomedical CEO Timothy Sullivan commented, ““AriesMR extends technologies we have developed and refined for nasal powder delivery into a pulmonary platform designed around many of the same challenges our pharmaceutical partners face: dose control, formulation protection, combination-product development and scalable manufacturing.”
