Drug delivery specialist Nemera has announced the launch of a new bidose nasal spray platform called DuoSpray that is intended for delivery of systemic drugs, including CNS therapies. The company says that the customizable intranasal device can deliver 2 doses of up to 100 µL each, for a total of 200 µL, and includes a dose indicator. Nemera launched a single dose version of this pump, called UniSpray, in October 2021.
The announcement points out that DuoSpray is “compatible with industry-standard primary containers and conventional filling lines, helping to accelerate development timelines and de-risk industrialization.” In early 2025, Nemera announced the compatibility of the UniSpray nasal pump with Nipro’s unit dose “microvials.” The company also emphasized that it offers intranasal delivery devices for both liquid and dry powder formulations. Earlier this year, Nemera said that it had signed a deal with Therakind allowing it to offer its customers Therakind’s DriDose intranasal dry powder devices.
