Savara has announced that the European Patent Office and the Australian Patent Office have issued new patents covering Molbreevi molgramostim inhalation solution. Both the European patent, No.4121000, and the Australian patent, No. 62/990,810, protect Molbreevi through March 2041. Molbreevi is delivered via PARI’s eFlow nebulizer, and in December 2025, Savara said that it had received a European patent covering Molbreevi and the delivery device in combination.
In April 2026, the company announced that the FDA had extended its review of the company’s BLA for molgramostim inhalation solution for the treatment of autoimmune pulmonary alveolar proteinosis. In the UK, the MHRA accepted Savara’s marketing application for Molbreevi the same month. Molbreevi has been granted Breakthrough Therapy, Fast Track, and orphan drug designations by the FDA. The MHRA has granted Molbreevi Promising Innovative Medicine designation and Innovation Passport designation.

Together, these patents reflect the strength of our liquid formulation IP across key ex-US markets. In parallel, we are advancing equivalent patent filings in the US, including a patent for the drug-device combination, with the aim of securing comprehensive protection across major commercial territories.”
