According to AstraZeneca, the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration has approved a reformulated Breztri (Trixeo) Aerosphere budesonide / glycopyrronium / formoterol fumarate MDI with Solstice‘s Solstice Air HFO-1234ze as the propellant. Breztri is approved in Australia for the treatment of COPD. The company said that it expects to launch the LGWP propellant MDI within a few weeks.
An HFO-1234ze version of Trixeo Aerosphere was approved by the UK’s MHRA in May 2025. The EMA’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) issued a positive opinion regarding the LGWP version of Trixeo in July 2025.
