Avalyn Pharma announces appointments of Adam Golden as Head of Business Development and Frank Salisbury as Senior VP, Commercial

Inhaled drug developer Avalyn Pharma has announced the appointments of attorney Adam Golden as General Counsel and Head of Business Development and pharma sales and marketing veteran Frank Salisbury as Senior VP, Commercial. Golden was most recently Partner and Global Head of Life Sciences at legal firm Freshfields. Salisbury was most recently Senior VP for Commercial and Product Strategy at PureTech Health and was previously US Head of Marketing, Pulmonary at Acceleron. His previous roles also include National Sales Director for Esbriet at Genentech and various positions at Actelion, including Brand Leader for Opsumit.

Avalyn recently initiated a Phase 2 study of its AP02 nintedanib inhalation solution in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The company announced in July 2025 that it had closed a $100 million financing round to support continued development of AP02 and its other inhaled therapies for IPF, which include AP01 pirfenidone and AP03 pirfenidone / nintedanib. Last year, Avalyn announced the appointments of a new Senior VP, Clinical Development Operations, and Senior VP, Regulatory Affairs.
