Nemera and Nipro announce compatibility of Nemera’s UniSpray nasal pump and Nipro’s unit dose vials

Nemera and Nipro Pharma Packaging have announced the conclusion of compatibility testing of Nemera’s UniSpray nasal pump with Nipro’s unit dose “microvials.” According to the companies, the tests demonstrated complete compatibility and meet requirements for reliability and dose delivery.

Nemera announced the launch of the UniSpray single metered dose nasal pump, which is designed for delivery of systemic drugs, in October 2021. According to Nipro’s web site, the unit dose vials are made of glass and come in 0.35 ml and 0.5 ml sizes.

Nemera Marketing Director for Devices Séverine Duband commented, “At Nemera, we design and manufacture devices that maximize treatment efficacy. We partner with our customers in the best possible way to ultimately bring patients high-quality and safe treatment solutions. Our work with primary drug packaging partners like Nipro further strengthens our commitment to bringing innovative combination products to customers and patients.”

Nipro NPI Product Portfolio Manager Clément Condouret said, “The high dimensional and cosmetic quality of Nipro unit-dose vials is crucial for ensuring optimal compatibility with Nemera’s UniSpray. This precision enhances the drug delivery system’s reliability, safety, and performance, ultimately contributing to the efficacy and safety of patient treatments.”
