OINDP testing specialists Copley Scientific have announced the launch of the new Powder Testing Workstation PTW for flowability testing as well as the Powder Testing Assistant PTA 100i. The customizable PTW system allows the user to select various modules for angle of repose, flow through an orifice, and bulk density testing of dry powders. The PTA 100i offers guidance to the user, automated collection of weight readings, and export of reports.
According to Copley, the PTW and PTA 100i together replace the company’s Flowability Tester BEP 2 with a system that is 50% lighter weight; includes an integrated timer; and can perform flowability on the basis of either time or mass. The company says, “By combining the two components, users can establish an optimized solution tailored to individual requirements, whether the goal is single or multi-method testing, and even for novice analysts.”
