Proveris Scientific has announced the official launch of the Vereo NSx+SWC (spray, weigh, and collect) nasal spray system, which it recently exhibited at RDD 2024 and which it calls “a pivotal advancement in product development and quality control workflows” with “walkaway automated functionality.” The new system combines Proveris’s Vereo NSx+ actuator technology with its Viota software to provide metered dose weight within seconds, the company says.

According to Proveris, the new Vereo system allows for automated delivered dose uniformity testing of for various types of nasal sprays, including bi-dose and multi-dose products, and can hold 10 sample collection vessels at a time. The Vereo NSx+SWC also includes a nasal tip dabber, integrated weighing module, and reusable waste collector.

Proveris Scientific CEO Dino Farina commented, “This product embodies our commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation and delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of our industry. We believe the Vereo NSx+SWC will set a new standard in the orally inhaled and nasal drug product space.”

Proveris Laboratories Business Development Director Maria Smith commented, “As a leading lab services organization, we’re excited to leverage the Vereo NSx+SWC to improve our processes at Proveris Laboratories. This cutting-edge system will boost our throughput and cut down on lab errors, giving our analysts more time to focus on other important tasks. Viota Software’s user-friendly interface makes it easy to use while still meeting the high standards set by regulatory agencies.
