CDMO Hovione has announced a partnership with Industrial Design Consultancy (IDC) for development of two new devices for intranasal delivery of dry powder formulations. According to the announcement, the capsule-based single-use and multidose devices will be available exclusively in conjunction with Hovione’s nasal drug development and manufacturing services.
Hovione CEO Jean-Luc Herbeaux commented, “Intranasal drug delivery is gaining momentum across a number of applications, including mucosal vaccination and CNS treatments bypassing the blood-brain barrier.
