Florida-based CDMO Formulated Solutions announced that it has acquired a 455,000 sq ft production facility in Cleveland, TN, USA that includes two buildings fitted with pharmaceutical production and packaging lines for a variety of dose forms such as liquids, bag-on-valve aerosols, and nasal sprays. The Tennessee facility was most recently owned by German skincare company Beiersdorf, which had acquired the plant from Bayer Healthcare in 2019. Formulated Solutions completed an addition of nasal spray manufacturing capabilities to its Florida plant in January 2022.
The company said, “Upon completion, the acquisition will strengthen Formulated Solutions’ capabilities in topicals, metered dose nasal sprays, and pressurized package manufacturing and allow the company to quickly bring additional production capacity online in service of current commercial demand while also paving the way for fulfillment of their future innovation pipeline.”
