Team Consulting adds new laboratory space and re-opens to visitors

Following the lifting of government restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, device design and development company Team Consulting is once again welcoming visitors to its headquarters in Cambridge, UK. Team has recently opened a new building at the Abbey Barns site, the company said, adding 5,500 sq ft of new laboratory space, workspaces, and design facilities.

According to Team, the expanded lab facilities include two temperature and humidity controlled laboratories, electronic laboratories, and containment systems for testing drug delivery devices and formulation, including inhaled drug products.

Team Project Manager, Device Testing, Ian Vaughan said, “At Team Consulting, we have always prided ourselves on our innovative lab spaces and state-of-the-art equipment, however this expansion means we can offer even greater flexibility to meet client requests, whether they need strict confidentiality or specialist requirements.”

Device Testing Consultant Brian Daly added, “We have to ensure that any device we produce is safe for people to use, meaning it’s important for us to gather evidence that the product or concept works as it should. This applies from the initial concept all the way through to preparing the product for clinical use or market launch.”
