RDD returns to California for RDD 2020

The IPAC-RS symposium will begin with a Thursday afternoon session on, “The OINDP Science and Research Agenda,” followed by a Thursday evening session titled, “Connecting with the Patient: Developing, Applying and Regulating Smart Inhaler Technology” and then a reception. On Friday morning, the symposium will finish with a session on “The Global Regulatory Landscape.”

This year’s RDD program will also include many features that attendees of the US-based RDD meetings have come to expect, including the awarding of the Charles G. Thiel Award and the VCU RDD Peter R. Byron Graduate Student Award; a Posters on the Podium session; and the Wednesday morning break for recreation. The platinum sponsors will offer half hour presentations on Tuesday morning, of which attendees can select two to attend.

In addition, a talk sponsored by the AAPS inhalation group will take place during the group’s reception on Tuesday evening, when Mick Hurrey of InCarda Therapeutics will give a presentation titled, “Every Breath You Take is a Shot Through the Heart – The Story of Inhaled Flecainide for the Treatment of PAF.”

Networking opportunities at RDD 2020 include a welcome reception, lunch and refreshment breaks in the exhibit area, and a banquet on Thursday night. According to Dalby, the organizers always receive positive feedback about the opportunities for interaction in the exhibit area, and he also says that the hotel has plenty of space for private meetings as well.

Over 80 companies have already confirmed their participation in the technology exhibit, including a number of first-time RDD exhibitors. Any companies who wish to exhibit but have not yet registered are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to ensure a place.

Exhibitors include:

  • 3M DDS

  • Inhalation Sciences
  • Intertek
  • Lonza
