New smart inhaler company Aerobit partners with Eularis

Aerobit, a smart inhaler company founded in the UK in June 2016 by Ali Molyed, who previously founded payment automation company AccessPay, has announced an agreement with pharmaceutical bit data analysts Eularis. According to the Aerobit web site, its device is designed as a sensor jacket that fits over a standard MDI and that connects to the cloud via bluetooth.

Although the announcement says, “Aerobit has introduced a smart inhaler which tracks medication use and records each time an inhaler is taken by an asthma patient,” it is unclear from the web site whether the device actually exists at this time or whether the company is undertaking development.

Molyed commented, “We are delighted to be working with Eularis. By combining our expertise, we are able to offer pharmas valuable intelligence relating to asthma. This offers great potential to guide product development and improve the quality of lives for the 5 million asthma sufferers within the UK alone.”

Eularis President AndrĂ©e Bates said, “Our data partnership with Aerobit provides Pharma with accurate, real time, cutting-edge analytics that identify the real needs of asthma patients to enable informed strategic business decisions to deliver stronger outcomes for both the patients, and their own business results.”
