Swedish DPI developer Simplified Solutions announced that it has entered into an agreement with CSP Technologies for continued development of its X-haler dry powder inhaler through to commercial manufacturing. The credit-card sized multi-dose DPI will incorporate CSP’s Activ-Polymer and moisture barrier technologies. Financial details were not disclosed.
According to Simplified Solutions, the 5-component X-haler device holds up to 30 doses, requires only 3 steps for operation, and delivers a consistent dose independent of orientation.
Simplified Solutions CEO Jan Åberg commented, “We are very excited to be working with an industry leader like CSP who has a wealth of expertise, experience and technologies which can help establish the X-haler as a unique offering to the global DPI market.”
