Copley’s TPK 2000 flow controller can now perform cascade impactor leak testing

Copley Scientific has announced the availability of new firmware for its TPK 2000 Critical Flow Controller that allows the instrument to be used for leak testing of cascade impactors without the need for any additional equipment. The TPK 2000 is used in conjunction with a cascade impactor for aerodynamic particle size distribution (APSD) testing of DPIs.

According to Copley, “By enabling seamless leak testing within the cascade impaction testing workflow the new TPK 2000 firmware encourages leak testing ahead of every analysis, as recommended by the manufacturer, thereby safeguarding data quality.”

All new purchases of TPK 2000 units will include the new V4.04 firmware. Owners of TPK 2000 flow controllers that currently have V4.00 or higher versions of the firmware installed may request an upgrade at no charge when the unit is returned to Copley Scientific for calibration. Upgrades may also be performed at the customer’s site, for which there may be a charge.
