Oxford Lasers introduces new optical spray characterization system

Oxford Lasers has announced the launch of its EnVision QC system for spray pattern and plume geometry testing of both MDIs and nasal sprays for quality control purposes. The Envision QC system includes automatic device positioning, and it automatically detects the fully developed phase of the spray and records measurements to meet FDA requirements.

Oxford Lasers Imaging Division Manager Seamus Murphy commented, “The latest generation of EnVision QC system offers the user a unique system for generating spray pattern and plume geometry data for pMDI and nasal devices in accordance with regulatory requirements. With integrated automatic positioning of the device and fixed hardware arrangement, the new system ensures the device is at the right location, thus eliminating variability due to positioning or time consuming hardware re-configuration. Defined operating procedures mean that for the user the system is simple and easy to use, and provides consistent and quality results”
