Presspart to sell 3M dose counters

3M Drug Delivery Systems has announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Presspart for sales of the 3M Dose by Dose Counter and dose indicator.

3M DDS President and General Manager Cindy Kent said, “We are excited to partner with a company that possesses the expertise, resources and industry knowledge Presspart has to offer. They understand the importance of details beyond the medication itself, focusing on the reliability of delivery systems.”

Presspart’s Chairman of the Managing Board Peter Schmelzer commented, “We place priority on meeting the needs of our customers through quality and performance. The Dose by Dose Counter is compatible with a wide range of MDIs and will help differentiate our products and remove guesswork for patients in the long-run.”

The Dose by Dose Counter integrates into the actuator of a metered dose inhaler, and Presspart is a major manufacturer of MDI actuators.

Earlier this year, 3M announced that it would be expanding its MDI facility in Loughborough, UK and Presspart made several hires for its Inhalation Product Technology Centre.
