Alexza names Edwin S. Kamemoto as Senior VP of Regulatory Affairs

Alexza Pharmaceuticals has promoted Edwin S. Kamemoto from VP, Regulatory Affairs to the newly created position of Senior VP, Regulatory Affairs. He was hired in 2006 as Associate Director, Regulatory Affairs; and promoted to Director, Regulatory Affairs, then to Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs, and then, in 2010, to Executive Director, Regulatory Affairs. Kamemoto will be responsible for all of Alexza’s regulatory affairs and pharmacovigilence activities.

Over the past year, Alexza has announced a number of new hires and new positions after the approval of Adasuve inhaled loxapine in the US and in Europe. The product was launched in Europe in July 3013 and in the US in March 2014.

The company most recently named Winston Brown as VP, Quality, and Robert Lippe as Executive VP, Operations and Chief Operations Officer.
