Inhalation Scientist

Pharmaterials, Reading, UK. The jobholder will be part of the inhalation department and will be responsible for supporting projects related to Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing operations. The job holder must be well organized, dynamic and have a can-do attitude. The job holder must be able to work well under pressure and be a good team player.

The Job Holder must be flexible and able to do shift work as and when needed by the company.

The analyst will demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

• Able to support inhalation projects in analytical and/or manufacturing areas following cGMP and all other regulatory agency requirements.

• Actively Participate in day-to-day lab activities with minimal supervision.

• Perform standard and advanced laboratory activities with minimal supervision using inhalation specific lab equipment as well other analytical equipment for inhalation projects in compliance with documentation e.g. SOPs.

• Participate in general lab maintenance tasks

• Help maintain sample submission system.

• Ensure the lab is well stocked and resourced

• Able to work and communicate effectively with other departments within the company.

• Carry out duties in accordance with the companies’ health and safety policies.

• To maintain your own training record and to discuss needs with your line manager.

• To employ the principle of continuous improvement and a basis of teamwork in day to day activities with colleagues.

• Undertake any other duties as requested by management.

Education

Minimum BSc, MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry with relevant cGMP experience. Higher qualification or degree may be an advantage.

Experience

At least 1 to 2 years of experience working within the Pharmaceutical environment
