According to 3M Drug Delivery Systems, the company will increase the capacity of its Loughborough, UK MDI facility by more than 20%. No additional details were provided.
3M DDS VP of Inhalation Drug Delivery Marcello Napol said, “Since developing the first MDI almost 60 years ago, 3M has continued pioneering in inhalation drug delivery, and this expansion of our facilities will allow us to maintain that leadership.”
In 2012, 3M expanded its Northridge, CA MDI facility, adding a pressure fill line.
