Two companies that provide services to OINDP developers and manufacturers have been awarded major prizes recently.
The 2012 British Engineering Excellence Awards recognized device design experts Team Consulting as “Consultancy of the Year.” Criteria for the award include, “the speed with which projects have been delivered,” “the range of technologies handled by the company,” and “the ratio of concepts to final products and the degree of innovation applied.”
Team Director of Engineering commented, “We are delighted to win this award. Engineering is in the DNA of Team and the delivery of robust and capable medical devices and systems is paramount, so to be recognized for the work we do and the products we’ve developed is a very proud moment for all of us.”
Inhaler testing automation company Lab Automate was a Gold Winner of the 2012 MassChallenge contest for start-up companies. The company will receive $50,000 and free office space for a year as part of the contest’s accelerator program. Lab Automate’s technologies include automated Andersen cascade impaction, emitted dose sample preparation, and dose wasting.
