Analytical Manager

Berkley Pharma & Life Science are currently seeking an Analytical Manager for our Global pharmaceutical client based in Dublin.

Role/Opportunity:
• Provide leadership to a team of analytical scientists responsible for respiratory product and device testing activities.
• Ensure the efficient generation of high quality analytical data in support of respiratory product development, clinical manufacturing and commercialisation activities.
• Accountable for quality control of clinical supplies manufactured in the pilot plant facility. Oversee the team’s input into regulatory documentation & submissions.

Skills/Experience:
• Minimum of a third level qualification in Chemistry or related discipline
• At least 5 years relevant technical experience in a highly regulated environment (IMB/FDA)
• Track record in managing and motivating a team and delivering results through people.
• An understanding of Lean Principles/Operational Excellence tools and “hands on” implementation of same in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload in a fast moving environment
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organisation
• The successful candidate will have broad experience in the application of a variety of analytical methodologies & material characterisation techniques needed for product development and they must be experienced in the operation of cGMP laboratory controls. The candidate must be able to interpret and draw conclusions from large amounts of complex data to help solve product development issues.
• Experience in the transfer of products to commercial manufacturing and possessing an understanding of dry powder inhaler product development would be advantageous but is not essential. Experience in regulatory filing & of pre-approval inspections is also desirable. All applicants should have significant relevant industrial experience.
