The new Medicon Valley Inhalation Consortium (MVIC) includes seven inhalation technology companies located in the Skåne-Copenhagen region of Scandinavia. According to the consortium, it “will work to globally promote Medicon Valley as an international center of inhalation competence and offer a comprehensive set of world class services.”
Many of the member companies — Adroit Science, Validus Engineering, Ligatum, Sturefelt Imaging Resource, Respiron Consulting, CR Competence, Emmace Consulting, and Zenit Design — were started by former AstraZeneca employees after the closure of its inhalation product development center in Lund.
MVIC President Orest Lastow says, “The member companies represent over 200 years of advanced hands on experience of inhalation product development. Our members come from leading scientific, project management and line management positions at AstraZeneca and Novo Nordisk. Our vision and ambition is to become the partner of choice in the development of inhalation products.”
