Mark Shepherd, Ben Cox join Team Consulting

Team Consulting has announced two new hires: Mark Shepherd, formerly Physical Properties Scientist in respiratory product development at GSK, and Human Factors and User Research Consultant Ben Cox.

Shepherd, who has experience with dry powder and intranasal compounds, will be responsible for laboratory quality systems and procedures. “Having spent many years working in inhaled drug delivery I am very excited to now be working at Team at a time where innovative drug delivery has become one of the pinnacle focuses of the pharmaceutical industry. It has been a genuine culture shock for me to be working with people who are so passionate and dedicated to developing devices that will improve the lives of patients all over the world. I’m very keen on being a part of that, and look forward to utilising my own experiences to improve the service Team offers even further,” he said.

Cox, who most recently worked as a human factors consultant at PDD, commented, “10 years ago during my PhD studies, I was exposed to elements of human-system interaction and task design, and it was then that I became acutely aware of the impact that medical device innovation will have upon people’s lives, whether it be their clinical practice or their daily medication regimen. It is essential to involve those people who will ultimately be the adopters.”
