Analysts, Respiratory Technology

Aptuit is a worldwide Contract Research Organization, collaborating with all the major Pharma and Biotech companies in support of various drug discovery and development projects. To efficiently support on going activities and needs, we are looking for highly motivated analysts to join the Verona Respiratory Technology Group within the Chemical Manufacturing and Control Department. There is one permanent position and three fixed term positions available.

The ideal candidate should have the following profile:

• Degree or Ph.D. (Chemistry) or equivalent scientific subject highly desirable. Other relevant qualifications / experience will be assessed on application.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques. Would be desirable to have practical knowledge of analytical techniques for inhaled dosage forms.
• Excellent team working skills.
• Ability to manage complex activities to tight deadlines.
• Ability to complete and progress assigned work to meet expectations ensuring customer needs are satisfied.
• Be effective and efficient in the use of time to achieve work related goals.
• Good knowledge of English language both spoken and written.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Optional skills that will be considered as an advantage:

• Knowledge of GLP/GMP requirements, including technical and regulatory requirements related to GMP manufacturing.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the development of new drugs.
• Previous experience in a busy CRO environment.

The Primary Responsibilities of this job are:

• Reporting to the team leader you will be involved in method development, optimisation and validation of analytical methods to define the inhalation performance of DPI’s, pMDI’s and nebulised products using performance tests such as Next Generation Impaction and Emitted Dose.
• Work on large and small scale stability studies, be involved in quality control and batch release testing and analytical method transfers.
• Provide authorship of analytical reports, validation and tech transfer protocols and reports.
• Ensure that all the work carried out is performed in compliance with company procedures and in a safe manner.
• Work with other Team Members to share key learning and best practices.
• Proactively contributes to the progression of customer packages, interact with relevant people to keep them aware of analytical issues.
