Team Consulting, the expert in medical product development, is looking to recruit a User Research Consultant to join their world-renowned team in Cambridge, UK.
Roles and responsibilities:
— to design and implement programmes of user research – employing a sound research methodology – as part of product development and design projects in the healthcare and lifesciences industry
o with a particular emphasis on usability related research
— to complete analytical assessments e.g. the examination of the risks associated with the use of a device / product
Technical/research skills
Essential
— honours degree
–proven track record in the design and implementation of research projects in one or more of the fields of psychology / market research / design research and human factors/ergonomics
–proven track record in planning, execution and reporting of user validation studies
–experience of medical devices, healthcare and medical products
–awareness of the regulatory framework relating to medical device development
Desirable
–experience of product development – involvement in engineering, industrial design and/or market research
–educational background / experience in engineering, psychology, ergonomics, market research or industrial design
–proven track record in the design and implementation of social science research projects
–knowledge of the application of statistics to research / experimentation – e.g. DoE and statistical tests
–experience of the use of the internet for surveys
