Senior Scientist – Pulmonary & Nasal – R&D

The laboratory groups at Catalent RTP are responsible for the support of pharmaceutical product development in a range of dosage forms both directly with customers and in collaboration with other Catalent facilities. This includes formulation development, structural chemistry, analytical support, and clinical trials material manufacturing.

The Inhalation Product Development group at Catalent Pharma, Morrisville, NC is seeking a Senior Scientist experienced in the development of inhalation products (ie. analytical & formulation), ideally with a strong background in either Metered Dose Inhalers (MDI) or Dry Powder Inhalers (DPI). Experience in the development and/or testing of products for Nasal delivery is also sought. Experience of preparing documents for regulatory submission is highly advantageous.

Job Requirements:

  • Doctorate’s degree and 5+ years related experience; master’s degree and 10+ years related experience; bachelor’s degree and 14+ years related experience, or equivalent education, experience and training
  • Extensive knowledge of the analysis, formulation & development of inhalation and/or products for nasal delivery &/or processes for the production of GMP/clinical product.
  • A strong understanding of current GMP regulations as they relate to operations in an analytical laboratory.
